The social app made its debut in September 2011 and according to statistics, it has 360 million active monthly users, as of January 2020, with three billion snaps (photos and videos) generated every day.

Since its debut, a lot of people have built lucrative personal brands and entire businesses based on the huge number of users on Snapchat. There are over 70 million active users on Snapchat daily and more than10 billion daily video views.

The thrilling thing about Snapchat is that it has more users than Twitter and it has grown in one year as Twitter did in 4 years! The app has become a great way for people to get their businesses noticed in this attention economy. Brands that know their onions make money from Snapchat every day.

How Do Businesses Use Snapchat?

Snapchat is somehow chunky and different from the popular social media platforms commonly used for marketing. As a business, it is important for you to know the right content to use for your marketing and how to connect with your target audience.

Before you start your Snapchat marketing, you need to understand the kind of content you can share on Snapchat. That content includes;

3. Snaps
4. Stories

How Can Businesses Make Sales on Snapchat?

  • Offer Promo Codes and set urgency: everybody likes promo. Everybody loves to get what they can buy at $10 for $5 or $6. This strategy has been tested on several social media platforms and it has yielded positive results. Offer attractive promo codes and set a timeline. The timeline creates urgency and you cash out in no time.
